Situated on a private lane, the studio has a “tiny” ocean view and is surrounded by forest, wild plants, and grasses. Double French doors lead to a large deck … connects to a salvaged wooden pallet boardwalk … that leads to the charming shoreline of St Mary’s Bay.  If you need a larger view to inspire you, beautiful Panmure Island Beach is a hop, skip, and a jump away.

On the other side of Panmure Island, at low tide is an amazing sand bar on which you can walk far out into the bay.  This is the place to collect sand dollars, dig for clams, and watch the herons fishing for their dinner.  This is an excellent place to paint, or simply relax.

Plein air painting is encouraged throughout your stay.  We can easily direct you to an inspiring painting spot, and provide a portable easel.  There are so many wonderful laneways and coves to explore on this beautiful island.   Whether you paint or simply ramble, PEI will not disappoint.
