I have always been fond of working with found objects (well some of these are found). The torso bust was bought when our local Sears Department Store went out of business. I knew I could do something interesting with it. The shells were collected from our shores and my many travels. Some came from yard sales! Yay! Plus, I am always filling shoe boxes of old beads, and bobbles for my art, and my windchime creations. Good finds are always thrilling.
I tried many glues before I finally settled on the good old hot glue gun. It tooks lots of lots of glue sticks, but I am pleased with the end result.
Spending hours gluing pearls, beads, and tiny shells to a torso is a meditative and relaxing way to spend some time.
